This doesn't mean that you will miss out on the levels because you will want to return to the worlds to get more stars. A total of 3 stars hidden on each level which unlock bonus items and mini games.

The controls of the game are similar to that of the SNES or the old game boy games, but the touch screen comes into play sometimes as this is where you can have up to 3 power ups stored, such as the mushrooms, flower power or star. So when you feel the need to power up you just touch one of the 3D symbols on the bottom screen.
